Sometimes its not actually a ban per se. Its possibly that software etc has affected server sites availability thru your firewall.
I have had problems connecting to battlenet despite valid account and I can only assume its my fault. Regardless a system restore worked.

Make sure the system restore point is valid and does not uninstall a program that is vital( **games:)**)
